Ok, the Financial Times (found through Groklaw), reveals that I was wrong and HP is even more f’ed up than I thought.

I told Rich G. in a comment in another of my posts that HP had only(??!!) directed the investigation against board members, journalists and the family of one journalist…Financial Times says I was wrong in thinking that.

From the article:

Patricia Dunn, HP’s chairman, said in a message to employees on Tuesday that investigators hired to ferret out a boardroom mole had used questionable tactics on “certain directors, two employees and a number of individuals outside the company including journalists”.

So…not only did The Wicked Witch of the Boardroom spy on her equals, she also attacked her employees…ain’t that nice? And “individuals outside the company including journalists”…is she referring to the family of journalists that has already been uncovered? or is she referring to somebody else that we haven’t found out about?

Oh, and this other quote is for printing and frameing…and sending to the judge when the idiots do get indicted:

Ms Dunn said she had been assured that the techniques used in the mole hunt were “not only fully legal but fully compliant with HP’s standards”.

So…HP’s standards allow illegal activities?? Damn, what’s corporate America coming to?

I have an HP Ipaq…have had it for a few years now…I love it…I use it every day, carry it with me all the time…and was planning on upgrading it by the end of the year or so…well…now, I know fully well that that won’t happen…no HP product is ever going to be bought by me nor by any of my clients, not until The Wicked Witch and her cohorts are gone from the board of directors of the company. The fact that the board allowed her to just step down from the chairmanship without kicking her ass out of the company completely is not only ridiculous, it’s unethical, in my opinion.
